Septoplasty

Septoplasty straightens a bent nasal septum when the bend is blocking airflow enough to justify surgery. Many people have a slightly bent septum and breathe well. They do not need an operation.

The decision uses your symptoms, an examination, and sometimes endoscopy. Sprays and allergy care are tried when those are the real problem.

Surgery has bleeding, infection, and a chance that blockage is only partly better, especially if allergy or turbinates also contribute. Consent is a conversation about those limits.
